Lt. Aleda E. Lutz was a nurse in Saginaw, Michigan before the war. She is the only woman buried here. A medical center in Saginaw is named after her.67 views Lutz participated in six separate battle campaigns over a 20-month period, accompanied air combat missions, and conducted all-weather medical evacuations in Tunisia, Italy and France. She helped evacuate over 3,500 wounded soldiers successfully. She was killed in a C47 crash on November 1, 1944.

Today, we took trains to visit Cinque Terre which consists of five seaside villages. We only visited two, first was Manarola, we then took another train to Vernazza.67 viewsCinque Terre, meaning "Five Lands" is a rugged portion of the coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia, and comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
